Superior Aerospace Precision Machining is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector to join our team. This position programs and operates coordinate measuring machines, inspects precision-machined components, and helps ensure our products meet engineering and quality requirements.
Responsibilities- Program and operate coordinate measuring machines using PC-DMIS.
- Inspect precision-machined components for conformance to specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requirements in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
- Collect, record, and report inspection and quality data.
- Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to machinists, Engineering, Production, and other departments.
- Work with machine operators to identify and resolve dimensional or quality issues.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of quality systems and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
- Maintain accurate inspection records using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other applicable systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- At least five years of recent quality inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
- At least three years of hands-on CMM operation and PC-DMIS programming experience.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and 3D CAD models.
- Working knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing inspection practices.
- Strong attention to detail, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with multiple departments.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Associate degree or technical college certificate preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
Background checks and drug screening are required for this position due to the nature of customer requirements and safety.
Salary: $25 - $35 per hour
