ResponsibilitiesComplies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices. Operates forklift following company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
Carries out tasks, communicates progress and information, determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback. Receives stocks and organizes merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility by managing inventory flow and following company policies and procedures for equipment usage, merchandising, and inventory exceptions. Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, providing guidance and support regarding self‑service technology, assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services.
Maintains safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, and hazardous material handling and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation in accordance with company policies and procedures by zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out‑of‑date goods, setting up, cleaning and organizing product displays, maintaining modular integrity, and ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise.
Processes defective merchandise following company and regulatory policies and procedures for sanitation and food safety, and monitors shrink, security risks, and safety. Ensures club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking, staging products, and performing occasional audits for accuracy. Handles inventory moves and displays goods safely and correctly, tracks goods, maintains in‑stock levels and controls shrinkage, and reports poor inventory practices.
Operates and maintains forklifts safely and correctly, reports poor or unsafe conditions, and informs management when forklifts are not in working order. Proactively identifies customers who need help, engages them, assists them with technology services and items, models and helps others, identifies shrink opportunities and problems, and takes steps to fix issues. Respects individual differences, works as a team, builds relationships, mentors others, and fosters an inclusive culture.
Acts with integrity, keeps highest ethical standards, and supports Walmart’s regenerative goals. Serves customers and members, delivers results while putting the customer first, makes decisions based on reliable information, balances short‑ and long‑term priorities, and drives continuous improvement.
- 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification
- Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Customer service experience
- Retail experience
- Experience supervising a team
Hourly wage range: $21.00 to $29.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
