  • Monday through Friday

Position Summary

The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing exceptional care and early learning experiences for children from a few weeks through approximately 18 months of age. This position includes implementing the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum, creating monthly lesson plans through the Learning Beyond Paper portal, conducting developmental observations and assessments, and fostering each infant's cognitive, language, social-emotional, sensory, and physical development through nurturing interactions and responsive caregiving.

The ideal candidate will create a calm, loving, and stimulating classroom environment while building strong partnerships with families and supporting each child's unique developmental journey.

Curriculum & Early Learning
  • Implement the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum with fidelity and enthusiasm.
  • Create and submit monthly lesson plans using the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum portal.
  • Provide individualized, developmentally appropriate learning experiences based on each infant's developmental stage.
  • Encourage language development through talking, singing, reading, and responsive interactions.
  • Plan sensory activities that promote exploration, curiosity, and cognitive growth.
  • Support gross and fine motor development through age-appropriate activities and tummy time.
  • Foster secure attachments through consistent, nurturing caregiving.
Child Development & Assessment
  • Conduct ongoing developmental observations and assessments.
  • Monitor and document developmental milestones.
  • Maintain accurate assessment records and portfolios.
  • Individualize activities to support each child's growth and development.
Daily Care & Routines
  • Provide attentive and responsive care to meet each infant's individual needs.
  • Follow individualized feeding, sleeping, and care schedules.
  • Prepare bottles and assist with feeding according to center policies.
  • Change diapers promptly while maintaining proper sanitation procedures.
  • Soothe and comfort infants with patience, warmth, and consistency.
  • Support transitions as infants reach new developmental milestones.
Classroom Management
  • Maintain a calm, organized, clean, and welcoming classroom.
