CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments such as IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting‑edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. Our Registered Nurse performs patient‑specific duties in the area of fertility, including patient care, teaching, triage, procedures, and protocol in a clinical setting under the direction of the physician.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy successfully.
- Collect and label specimen as outlined in lab orders and requisitions.
- Transport specimens to the lab promptly for testing.
- Start, maintain, and discontinue IV lines.
- Administer medications and follow medication protocols.
- Provide patient education and medication administration instruction.
- Triage patient problems, questions, and concerns to the appropriate area.
- Maintain factual and thorough health‑care records.
- Communicate, review, and record all laboratory results.
- Perform transvaginal and abdominal follicular and prenatal ultrasounds.
- Monitor and manage fertility treatment cycles under the direction and supervision of physicians.
- Perform intrauterine infusions.
- Supervise all licensed practical nurses and medical assistants.
- Participate in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.
- Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the role and operations of the organization.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of technical training. Must be a graduate of an approved registered nursing program.
Language AbilityRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Math AbilityAdd, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent. Draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilitySolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities- Medical terminology.
- Proficiency in injections.
- Proficiency in venipunctures.
- Proficiency in administering medications.
- State Registered Nurse License.
- CPR/BLS.
Noise level is usually moderate.
