Assists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, providing direction on member service approaches and techniques to resolve member complaints and issues per company guidelines, ensuring compliance with policies, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members, processing memberships, upgrades and credit accounts, encouraging renewals, participating in sales and marketing events, completing and maintaining marketing recaps and other required documentation, striving to meet membership goals, and promoting the value of Sams Club products and services. Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging the member, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, guiding self-service technology, assisting with transactions at registers or self-checkout, and ensuring club pickup orders are filled.
Oversees the assigned area by handling claims and returns, organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, ensuring availability of carts and equipment, and maintaining parking lot cleanliness. Completes accounting records and documentation by following procedures, providing funds for proper register operation, creating and interpreting financial analysis, assisting with investigations, preparing deposits, overseeing cash transfers, investigating overages/shortages, and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information.
Develops and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners, analyzing information, monitoring progress, and addressing improvement opportunities. Demonstrates and supports compliance with policies and ethics, guiding and applying them in business processes, and assisting management with correcting issues. Leads and participates in teams, clarifying customer needs and priorities, coordinating work, providing feedback, and modeling adaptability to change.
