- Receiving and processing: Unloading, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments against packing lists.
- Order fulfillment: Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency. Heavy lifting involved.
- Shipping: Labeling packages correctly and loading them for transport.
- Inventory control: Maintaining accurate inventory levels, often using scanners and warehouse management systems (Open Text Database), and organizing products for easy access.
- Warehouse maintenance: Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and safe by following all safety regulations and procedures.
- Equipment operation: Using equipment such as forklift, man lift, pallet jacks, and other tools to move and store materials.
- Environment: Non-Climate controlled warehouse.
The successful candidate must be able to work in a warehouse setting with minimum supervision while following safe work practices at all times. He or she must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, pallets of materials, climb ladders, and operate a forklift. He or she must possess good teamwork skills.
