We are looking for a proactive and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our Site Services team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory compliance testing, and general building maintenance to ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently. You'll carry out a range of planned maintenance and compliance activities, including:
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Weekly fire alarm and fire sprinkler testing Emergency lighting testing Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) Fire door inspections Ladder and step ladder inspections Drainage and sump pump inspections General building and plant room inspections Minor maintenance and repair works Recording maintenance activities and compliance checks Reporting defects and supporting specialist contractors Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures Essential Experience/Qualifications Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar maintenance role Knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Good practical maintenance skills and a proactive approach to problem solving Excellent organisational and communication skills The ability to work independently and manage their own workload A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality Desirable:
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) qualification or experience
Experience with fire alarm, fire sprinkler, emergency lighting or fire door inspections Basic plumbing, electrical or mechanical maintenance skills Key
