Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate, timely and comprehensive processing of accounts payable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Insure accuracy and completeness of accounts payable information utilizing 3-way matching.
• Data entry of accounts payable and quantity information coordinating with purchasing as needed.
• Verify proper authorization of accounts payable invoices.
• Apply current sales tax rules and ensure accuracy.
• Resolve discrepancies with vendors and company staff.
• Prepare month and year end schedules for accruals.
• Work statements each month to insure clear accounts.
• Assist the department as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong math and accounting skills
• 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be an accounting professional with the ability to multi-task, interface with multiple departments and manage high volume payables.
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Must be proficient in excel, construction and accounting applications.
• Degree not required but accounting coursework preferred.
