The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for leading the team, timely and accurate support of month-end close activities, reconciliations, reporting, analysis, and other accounting functions. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers exposure across multiple areas of the business and the opportunity to contribute to operational and financial process improvements.

This role is well-suited for someone who is ambitious, takes ownership of their work, and is looking to grow their accounting career within a fast-paced organization. The Accounting Supervisor will work closely with the CFO and leadership team, with the opportunity to take on increased responsibility and potentially grow into a supervisory role over time based on performance and initiative.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Lead financial and operational transaction processing in General Ledgers for business operations.
  • Supervise the daily workflow of the accounting team; establish priorities, review work for accuracy, and provide coaching, training, and support.
  • Participation in accurate and timely closing of General ledgers on a monthly basis.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts with large transactional volumes.
  • Monthly reconciliation of agent accounts.
  • Assist in all areas of month-end close, as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute reports and provide analysis/support as needed.
  • Complete ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Respond to questions and communicate responses to operations and other functional areas.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities relating to the individual’s area of responsibility.
  • Assist in rectifying outstanding AR balances.
  • AP audit and transaction processing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills required;
    Power BI experience nice to have.
  • Highly detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain industries preferred.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience preferred
