At T‑Mobile, the Vendor Manager role leads and supports supplier‑relationship‑management initiatives for our Credit, Fraud, Payments, and Collections operations.
Job Responsibilities- Manages and optimizes relationships with key vendors to ensure efficient and cost‑effective procurement of goods and services.
- Monitors vendor performance, enforces contract terms, and analyzes vendor costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement strategic planning and best practices in vendor and supplier relationship management and risk management.
- Prepares and presents reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to leadership.
- Acts as a liaison between internal teams—such as Credit Strategy, Fraud Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Legal—and external partners to ensure seamless solution integration and timely delivery of capabilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, plus 3 years of related work experience; or an advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience; or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent. (Required)
- Master’s/Advanced Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. (Preferred)
- 2–4 years implementing strategic planning and best practices in procurement and risk management. (Required)
- 4–7 years managing and optimizing relationships with vendors in a corporate setting. (Required)
- 4–7 years analyzing vendor costs and managing budgets to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements. (Required)
Skills and Abilities
- Vendor Management – Expertise in managing and optimizing vendor relationships to ensure efficient procurement and contract compliance. (Required)
- Strategic Planning – Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals and optimize vendor relationships. (Required)
- Negotiation – Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and manage costs effectively in vendor contracts. (Required)
- Analytics – Proficiency in analyzing vendor performance metrics and cost data to identify improvement opportunities. (Required)
- Risk Management – Capability to assess and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships and procurement processes. (Required)
- Reporting & Analysis – Ability to prepare detailed reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics for leadership review. (Required)
- Microsoft Excel – Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling related to vendor management. (Required)
- Communication – Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors. (Required)
- Problem Solving – Strong problem‑solving abilities to address and resolve issues that arise in vendor management and procurement processes. (Required)
- Leadership – Leadership skills to guide and influence internal teams and manage relationships with strategic vendors. (Preferred)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS. (Preferred)
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS. (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $82,200 – $148,200
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
