Director, DSD Digital Sales Excellence - Frisco, TX
Position SummaryReporting to the VP Analytics & Operations, the Director of DSD Digital Sales Excellence will lead the continued installation of our Modern Sales Professional (MSP) Toolkit for our 2000+ DSD frontline sales team members.
The North Star for this role is to digitally advantage DSD frontline sales associates to sell smarter, service better, and more seamlessly.
Key focus areas: order accuracy, selling with insights, and leveraging image recognition.
Critical Focus Areas Toolkit Stewardship- Leverage DSD frontline know‑how, insider feedback, GM mindset, technical and analytical skills to blueprint & drive product enhancements for our Modern DSD Selling Toolkit.
- Experiment with AI to deploy POCs that remove cognitive load, create time to sell, and tailor offerings to local market and store conditions.
- Collaborate with IT and third‑party resources to deliver enhancements, monitor, iterate, and ensure rollout success and value delivery.
- Pivot when material counter‑signals or learnings emerge during the rollout process.
- Shape a winning team and culture.
- Draft and develop the right players using your experience and network.
- Onboard swiftly and ensure clear swim lane connectivity for parallel work streams, maximizing synergy while avoiding costly rework.
- Celebrate successes and iteratively tune the team operating model for impact.
- Advance the underlying modern selling data model and associated analytics as adoption evolves.
- Track behaviors, execution, and financial metrics to prove value, guide necessary changes, and refine approaches using qualitative feedback from super‑users.
- Align upstream and downstream to ensure new initiatives or SOP changes are coordinated.
- Intake stakeholder feedback and pivot as changes are adopted and tuned.
- Secure senior leadership buy‑in for support needed, estimating value to be created, especially before major changes.
- Ensure technology and third‑party partners remain aligned on the what and why, minimizing rework.
- Instill a challenger selling mindset across the ~2000 frontline DSD sales team members.
- Collaboratively strategize the change management plan and evolve it as it is tested in field with change champions and power users.
- Focus on ensuring the MSP toolkit meets frontline needs: sell smarter, service better, and work more seamlessly.
- Engage early with dissenting voices to intake feedback and address concerns.
- Respond to emerging challenges, remove roadblocks, and drive success of the DSD frontline MSP toolkit.
- Salary Range: $155,500 - $175,000 / year
- Benefits (subject to election and eligibility):

- Must be willing to travel about 50% of the time.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Proven experience rolling out new DSD digital tools with a track record of value creation.
- The ability to think strategically, prioritize swiftly, and tactically engage to problem‑solve.
- Expertise in Excel (engineering & finance style) and PowerPoint (consulting style).
- Experience with data management and visualization tools:
Alteryx, PowerBI, SQL, etc.
- Agility, accountability, urgency – willingness to do whatever it takes to drive modern DSD frontline selling success.
- High emotional intelligence and influencing skills across all organizational levels from senior management to frontline.
- 10+ years of experience, including building & guiding a team, successfully governing third‑party resources, and navigating highly matrixed organizational models.
- Direct DSD experience – especially rolling out tech solutions to frontline sales teams.
- Familiarity with Agile technical development methodology.
