Renewals Sales Operations Specialist
OverviewWe're looking for a contract Renewals Sales Operations Specialist to own the operational execution that turns renewals strategy into a scalable, measurable motion for an enterprise software renewals organization. This person sits at the intersection of Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, and Finance, and is responsible for ensuring the renewal process operates efficiently from end to end.
This is a hands‑on individual contributor role focused on building and operationalizing renewal processes—not simply maintaining existing ones. The ideal candidate is a self‑directed Sales Operations professional with strong Salesforce experience who can take existing infrastructure, identify process gaps, and implement repeatable solutions that improve renewal execution and visibility.
Responsibilities Renewal Process & Operational Execution- Build and operationalize a consistent end‑to‑end renewal process, including timelines, milestones, ownership, handoffs, and playbooks.
- Partner with Renewal Consultants, Customer Success, Sales, and Revenue Operations to ensure every renewal progresses through the appropriate stages.
- Identify process bottlenecks, operational gaps, and inconsistencies, then develop and implement scalable solutions.
- Drive process standardization to ensure no renewal opportunity is overlooked.
- Manage renewal opportunities and supporting data within Salesforce, including opportunity stages, ownership, routing, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain strong CRM data quality by reconciling renewal dates, contract values, and other key renewal data.
- Partner with technical Salesforce teams by documenting business requirements and recommending process improvements within the existing CRM infrastructure.
- Monitor renewal activity to ensure opportunities remain current, accurate, and actionable.
- Build and maintain reporting that provides visibility into renewal progress, upcoming contract expirations, retention performance, and operational health.
- Track renewals throughout the sales cycle and identify contracts at risk of falling behind schedule.
- Analyze renewal data to identify trends, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support leadership with accurate renewal forecasting and operational reporting.
- Partner closely with Customer Success, Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, and Revenue Operations to ensure alignment throughout the renewal lifecycle.
- Coordinate operational activities that support successful renewal execution, including approval routing, quote support, and process tracking.
- Serve as the operational owner of the renewal motion, ensuring consistent execution across multiple stakeholders.
- Drive follow‑up and accountability to keep renewals moving forward and resolve operational blockers.
- 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Renewals Operations, Commercial Operations, or a similar operational role supporting B2B contract renewals.
- Experience supporting contract renewal or contract lifecycle processes in a B2B environment;
SaaS experience is preferred but not required. - Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM, including opportunity management, pipeline tracking, reporting, dashboards, and data quality best practices.
- Demonstrated experience building or improving operational processes rather than simply supporting existing workflows.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to monitor process performance, identify risks, and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Deal Desk, and Operations teams.
- Familiarity with CPQ or contract management tools is preferred but not required.
- Highly organized, self‑directed, and comfortable driving initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into operational processes and system requirements.
- Experience supporting enterprise contract renewals or subscription renewal programs.
- Exposure to contract lifecycle management (CLM) or CPQ platforms.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Experience leveraging AI or automation tools to improve operational efficiency is a plus.
- Establishes a repeatable, scalable renewal process that improves consistency across the organization.
- Maintains accurate renewal data and reporting that leadership can rely on for decision‑making.
- Identifies operational gaps and implements practical process improvements.
- Partners effectively across Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, and Finance to ensure renewals move forward efficiently.
- Helps create a predictable renewal motion where contracts are proactively managed, tracked, and completed on time.
