Lead Construction Safety Coordinator

Location:

Cedar Creek, TX
Duration: 2 Years (Start: 10/5 or Earlier)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $56/hr (No BCSP) | $60/hr (BCSP Credential)
Per Diem:
None
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency:
Weekly

Schedule:

Monday-Saturday | 10 to 12 Hour Shifts
Additional Schedule Details:
Potential Sunday work and rotating Saturdays as needed. Candidates should be prepared to support extended schedules throughout the life of the project.

This opportunity provides leadership-level safety oversight across multiple operations, including a pre-fabrication facility manufacturing interior and exterior metal-framed wall panels, as well as self-performed drywall installation and ongoing on-site construction activities.

The Lead Construction Safety Coordinator will serve as a key member of the project team, maintaining a strong field presence while working directly with craft personnel, production teams, subcontractors, supervision, and project leadership to identify hazards, maintain compliance, and support the safe execution of manufacturing, installation, civil construction, and mission-critical construction activities.

Required Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • OSHA 500 Construction Certification
  • Minimum 3+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • BCSP Certification (CHST, ASP, CSP, or Equivalent)
  • Data Center Construction Experience
  • Prefabrication or Manufacturing Safety Experience
  • Excavation and Civil Construction Experience
  • Drywall or Interior Systems Construction Experience
  • Contractor Safety Management Experience
What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide daily field safety oversight for data center construction and prefabrication operations
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas and manufacturing operations
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor panel manufacturing activities, drywall installation, excavation operations, and civil construction work
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, subcontractors, and fabrication teams
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
