Position: Private Educator/Nanny

Location: Primarily based in Frisco, TX (Frequent Travel to California and Beyond)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Live-Out

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility for evenings or weekends as needed.

Compensation: $90,000–$115,000/year, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Family

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and passionate private educator to provide a stimulating, nurturing, and academically enriching environment for a 7-year-old boy. This position requires a professional who can tailor lessons, foster creativity, and encourage a love for learning while meeting the boy's advanced academic and personal growth needs.

The boy is exceptionally skilled in math and science, displaying a natural aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking. He is also very active and creative, with a love for exploring new ideas, engaging in hands‑on experiments, and participating in imaginative play. The family is based in Texas but splits their time with frequent travel to California and other locations. The ideal candidate must be comfortable traveling with the family and adapting lessons to various environments.

Educational

Development
  • Develop and implement a personalized curriculum that emphasizes the boy's strengths in math and science while supporting development in other core subjects (e.g., reading, writing).
  • Create hands‑on experiments and STEM‑based activities that challenge his critical thinking and creativity.
  • Foster a love of learning through engaging and interactive lessons that align with his advanced abilities and interests.
Enrichment Activities
  • Plan and participate in extracurricular activities that stimulate creativity and physical activity, such as robotics, coding, art projects, and outdoor adventures.
  • Incorporate travel opportunities to create unique, hands‑on learning experiences, including lessons tied to geography, history, and culture.
Behavioral & Social Development
  • Encourage socialization and emotional intelligence by organizing playdates, group activities, and collaborative projects.
  • Promote effective communication, interpersonal relationships, and confidence‑building.
Daily Support
  • Assist with homework, projects, and preparation for academic competitions or enrichment programs.
  • Provide structure and routine while allowing room for creativity and independent exploration.
Collaboration
  • Partner with parents to align on educational goals and strategies.
  • Communicate progress and adjust plans based on feedback and observations.
Travel Support
  • Adapt to the family’s frequent travel schedule and ensure continuity of education across various locations.
  • Plan and execute lessons and activities that integrate the unique opportunities offered by new environments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field. A teaching credential or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years working with school‑aged children, preferably in private or specialized education settings.
  • Experience working with gifted or advanced learners, particularly in math and science, is highly desirable.
  • Experience traveling with families or adapting to changing environments is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
  • CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Non‑smoker.
  • Must be fully vaccinated.
  • Able to pass thorough background and reference checks.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
