Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Special Education (SPED) STEM Teacher to inspire and empower neurodiverse students in grades K–8. This unique role blends special education expertise with cutting-edge STEM instruction, giving you the opportunity to design and deliver multi-sensory, hands-on learning experiences tailored to students with developmental disabilities, autism, hearing impairments, and other special needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum & Instruction
Develop and implement comprehensive, hands-on STEM lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individualized education plans (IEPs).
Incorporate science experiments, project-based learning, and real-world applications to make STEM concepts engaging and accessible.
Adapt instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, including autism, hearing impairments, and behavioral challenges.
Create high-level and detailed curriculum frameworks based on current trends in STEM education and evidence-based practices.
Technology Integration
Leverage Generative AI, LLMs, robotics, and immersive learning tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, market trends, and best practices in STEM and special education.
Student Engagement & Support
Use multi-sensory teaching strategies and behavioral management techniques to foster positive classroom behavior.
Provide individualized support and resources for students to explore during activities.
Conduct assessments—including standardized tests and formative evaluations—to monitor progress and inform instruction.
Maintain detailed documentation of student development, IEP goals, and behavioral interventions.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to optimize learning outcomes.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success.
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning sessions.
Classroom Management
Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills development.
Ensure proper supervision of students at all times.
Manage inventory of materials and supplies for STEM activities.
Compliance & Standards
Follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing special education programs.
Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, early intervention, literacy, math instruction, and classroom management techniques.
