Position Title: Physical Education Teacher (Female)

Location: The Muraqaba School, Frisco, TX

Position Type: Part-Time/Full-Time | Academic Year 2026–2027

Reports To: Principal

The Muraqaba School is seeking a Physical Education Teacher who views physical movement as a means of worship, self-discipline, and character building. The role involves helping students develop lifelong habits of physical well‑being while cultivating teamwork, leadership, and Islamic values through activity.

• Curriculum Implementation: Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate K–8 physical education curriculum aligned with the school’s spiritual and character goals.
• Spiritual Integration: Incorporate Islamic principles related to health, discipline, and stewardship of the body ( amana ) into instruction.
• Skill Development: Teach students skills related to physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and emotional regulation.
• Environment Management: Create a safe, inclusive environment for all ability levels while maintaining equipment and monitoring conduct.
• Leadership: Lead structured games, team sports, martial arts basics, and mindfulness‑based exercises.
• Collaboration: Work with homeroom teachers and leadership to support whole‑child development and model Islamic manners ( adab ) in all interactions.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Education, or a related field.

  Experience:
  
  Prior experience teaching physical education in a school setting;
  Islamic school experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong classroom management, interpersonal skills, and familiarity with Islamic teachings related to holistic health.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain it.
• Mission Alignment: Full alignment with the spiritual vision and mission of The Muraqaba School.

• Experience in martial arts, yoga, or mindfulness training.
• Knowledge of trauma‑informed teaching or social‑emotional learning (SEL).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic or Urdu.
