** Embedded faculty are employed hired by Collin College as adjunct faculty to teach college courses and must meet the credentialing standards as established in the Faculty Credentialing Manual.

*** All faculty must be credentialed with official transcripts submitted.
* Embedded faculty receive payment from the college depending on when their class is held.
* Embedded faculty will work with their college supervisor regarding class schedules.

** Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
** Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.

Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
** Requirements
* * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in military service or other qualifying fields.  Must have completed either USACC’s Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFDIC) or Master Educator Course (MEC)** *
* * This is a Security Sensitive position. Therefore, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check. *
* *** If selected for a dual credit course(s), an additional background check requiring fingerprinting with the TX DPS will be required from the assigned ISD. Any questions related to the fingerprinting process should be directed to the ISD to which the faculty member is being assigned.
