Position: Project Manager (Aviation)

Project Manager (Aviation) – Frisco, Texas

For the last six decades, Garver’s Aviation Team has designed projects for more than 250 aviation clients, addressing the complexities of airport systems that integrate runways, roadways, facilities, and electrical systems. Garver’s growing Texas Aviation team is seeking a Project Manager to join our multidisciplinary team. The Project Manager will manage the design and construction of complex, large, multi‑year projects for commercial and general aviation airports, supported by Garver’s diverse local and national staff.

Responsibilities
  • Project management of aviation design projects related to new pavement construction, drainage improvements, utility relocation, sustainable design, and pavement rehabilitation.
  • Construction administration and oversight for aviation clients.
  • Collaborate and coordinate design teams consisting of multi‑discipline engineers, planners, and technicians.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and funding agencies.
  • Provide outstanding client service.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with aviation project experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Some travel may be required (≈ 10 % with occasional overnight stays).
Preferred Skills
  • Project management of construction values up to + $2 million.
  • Experience working with a multi‑discipline team while overseeing project execution.
  • Experience managing construction projects at airports (preferred but not required).
  • Licensed pilot or other aviation‑related experience.
