Haskell is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant with Program/Project/Financial management experience. Haskell’s Design & Consulting Team unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. Our diverse and innovative team allows Haskell to serve our clients with multiple project delivery methods including design-build, engineer-procure-construct, fee-for-service, or consulting services.
This individual will collaborate with other disciplines and construction teams within Haskell, driven by the same values of team, excellence, service, and trust.
Job ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will use federal, state and local regulatory requirements to:
- Review and identify potential environmental clearance requirements
- Assess impacts of new regulatory requirements and apply them as required
- Identify and develop NEPA strategic communications
- Apply sound technical knowledge and in depth understanding of environmental laws and regulations
- Generate, manage and author NEPA documents and related support documents
- Generate and manage Environmental Health and Safety Programs
- Develop Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and perform sampling as required
- Develop Spill Prevention and Countermeasures Plan as needed
This role will also support Project Financial Analysis as follows:
- Coordinate with project teams to produce financial deliverables that include planning, tracking, analysis and reporting across engineering and construction project life cycles for both internal and external use, mastering the job cost module within the JDE accounting software system
- Review current project status and forecast performance
- Define and communicate project budgets, maintain WBS, cost baselines, and Estimates at Completion (EAC)
- Identify and resolve risks and financial discrepancies or variances
- Oversee project closings, timetables and update processes
- Create financial reports and forecasts and fit them to known trends
- Experience managing both programs and projects
- In-depth knowledge of Federal environmental regulatory requirements
- Understanding cost and schedule development and controls (preferred)
- Solid analytical ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, this position requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10‑50 pounds. Requires good hand‑eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
- Minimum education:
High School or GED - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or equivalent, or 10 years experience; or 15 years experience in lieu of degree
- 10+ years of relevant experience servicing clients in commercial and government sectors (federal and state levels)
