Garver is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our growing Team in Frisco, TX to continue the tradition of providing quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities- Coordinating design with other disciplines and subconsultants.
- Communicating with the project manager on deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
- Preparing design schematics in collaboration with environmental task leaders and other team members, consistent with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
- Preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and calculations necessary for a complete deliverable package to the client.
- Interacting with the client, including preparing communications and other documentation.
- Mentoring and training younger engineers on roadway design.
- Serving as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for reviewing deliverables.
- Supporting the Project Manager during Bid Phase and Construction including answering Requests for Information (RFI), reviewing project submittals from the contractor, preparing addenda and plan revisions.
- Assisting the Business Team Leader and Project Manager with marketing efforts, including proposal writing, client interaction, and public engagements.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain license through reciprocity.
- Professional interpersonal and leadership skills, including a willingness to learn and be coached by a mentor.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant site civil design experience.
- Ability to lead a design team to meet a deliverable schedule within a defined budget.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiency.
- Previous experience working with design software packages such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Bentley Open Roads Designer proficiency.
- Experience in preparing fee proposal hour estimates.
