As part of Garver’s commitment to continued innovation in airport design, our Aviation Team is dedicated to providing the expertise and leadership to assist our clients in meeting both current and future needs nationally on large landside aviation projects.
ResponsibilitiesWill Include
- Oversee and manage a landside civil aviation project portfolio for Garver airports nationwide, with construction values reaching up to $100 million.
- Manage, mentor, and support a team of project engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Oversee the financial performance and profitability of multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and schedule expectations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients while coordinating effectively with internal multidisciplinary teams, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- PE license
- 10+ years of related experience with site civil design, permitting, applicable software applications
- Management-level knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Design experience that includes drainage, grading, and utilities
- Experience with due diligence, permitting, and jurisdictional coordination
- Experience with task management, concept, design, and project management tasks
- Managing a multiple project portfolio
- Ensuring design teams adhere to project schedules, budgets and quality control plans
- Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients
- Some travel may be required (approximately 10% with occasional overnight)
- Airport-related experience
