Financial Analyst
Trust Tax Analyst partners with internal wealth management business partners and external vendor partners to facilitate the implementation, administration, and processing of various IRS and state agency fiduciary tax forms and filings. This role builds strong relationships with internal partners, external vendor partners, and various taxing agencies to provide accurate and timely processing of tax forms and filings. The role identifies and communicates operational strategies and efficiency opportunities to senior leadership, provides superior customer service, and offers specialized subject matter expertise to tax clients.
Key Responsibilities And Duties- Deliver superior customer service and specialize subject matter expertise to tax clients.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to the wealth management business in the areas of income, estate, gift, and fiduciary tax.
- Communicate with senior leadership team to provide operational strategies and efficiency opportunities.
- Represent the business to various taxing agencies, including federal, state, and local.
- Serve as liaison between outside tax preparation vendor and TIAA by sharing of information, collaborating on preparation of 1041s, 990s, and 5227s; and assist with inputting of various tax-related information into software programs and TIAA systems.
- Participate in various projects to support TIAA and business initiatives, including strategic planning to evolve TIAA’s tax offering.
- Responsible for the analysis of GST trusts in partnership with the business.
- Support the preparation and implementation of tax filings of trusts and estates.
- Understands features and benefits of TIAA’s products and investment strategies.
- Remain current and educate others in business of fiduciary tax regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
- University (Degree) Preferred

Base Pay Range: $65,300/yr - $91,400/yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
