Airport Business and Finance Planner - Commercial Planning Frisco, Texas

This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Bolster Garver’s new business/financial planning practice in the aviation industry, primarily related to capital improvement program financial planning and strategy.
  • Support business development in aviation including opportunity identification, relationship development, and marketing strategy.

Potential types of aviation business/financial projects the individual would be responsible for leading include:

  • Non‑airline rates and charges studies and negotiations (e.g., parking, concessionaires, rental cars including CFCs).
  • Financial planning and analysis, to include budgeting, forecasting, cost‑benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis, feasibility studies, and business cases, of existing and future concessions program opportunities.
  • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support non‑aeronautical revenue generation.
  • Evaluate delivery alternatives for maximizing revenue through development of airport‑owned property.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Detailed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) financial planning including modeling for different project financing alternatives.
  • Debt service review and analysis (e.g., different types of bonds and financial impacts of each).
  • Financial planning and analysis, to include budgeting, forecasting, cost‑benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis, feasibility studies, and business cases to support aeronautical activities.
  • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support infrastructure investments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support marketing/pursuit efforts across the United States to develop a financial/business planning practice in aviation.
  • Lead technical aspects of financial analysis work including the project types identified in the overview section.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex financial messages using spreadsheets, dashboards, or other visualization methods.
  • Ability to collaborate and cross‑sell other Garver services (e.g., engineering, planning, etc.).
  • Effective at building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge and experience with Title 2, Part 200 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) – 2 CFR, Part 200 Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.
  • Knowledge of FAA grant assurances.
  • Knowledge of airport revenue models, debt structures, and funding alternatives.

Experience:

  • 6+ years experience in airport/aviation financial planning and modeling.
  • Aviation financial analysis experience with airside, terminal, and landside projects.
  • Previous consulting experience.
  • Solid connections to multiple commercial service airports.
