The CORE Group is seeking a new Senior Tax Analyst to work at our Headquarters office in Frisco, Texas. As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by helping to prepare various tax filings and advise them on tax consequences of business transactions. You’ll use your communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills to review tax related questions from leadership, ownership, and project teams including federal tax, state and local tax, ad valorum tax, and payroll related taxes.
Pay will be commensurate with skills and experience. This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Primary Responsibilities- Prepare annual tax compliance for partnerships, S-corporations, and private foundations that operate in multiple states
- Assist with shareholder distribution and tax payment calculations
- Coordinate with third‑party tax providers regarding the preparation of shareholder related income tax returns
- Maintain fixed asset ledger for accounting and tax related depreciation expense
- Serve as one of the organization’s contacts to address questions related to sales and use tax compliance for construction related operations
- Prioritize between multiple projects on a time‑sensitive basis
- A minimum of 3-5 years of tax‑related compliance experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or EA strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of passthrough taxation and PTE tax required
- Experience in the preparation of complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and S-corporations
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, Sage Fixed Assets, Lacerte Tax, Pro Series Tax, One Source Tax, and RIA Checkpoint
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication (oral and written) skills
- Exceptional business ethics
- Detail-oriented and adheres to industry professionalism standards
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and able to effectively communicate with legal, business, finance, and technical professionals
