Deductions Specialist

Job Overview

The Finance Business Services or Deduction Specialist supports the KDP organization by performing transactional work related to FBS processes to ensure compliance with accounting and company policies.

• Ensure timely research and resolution of customer deductions in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to procedures and timely processing of credit memos, offset balances, repaid deductions, check requests, brewer returns, and other tasks as assigned.
• Ensure all deduction documentation is complete and sufficient to support classification of expense or recollection of invalid deductions.
• Work directly with Finance and Sales colleagues to obtain additional information and documentation when necessary.
• Interface with customers and brokers as assigned.
• Review and process customer deductions; analyze deductions to identify root cause and work with cross‑functional teams to reduce or eliminate recurring deductions.
• Support the intercompany transfer and billing processes as applicable.
• Assist with ad‑hoc requests to balance overall team workload.
• Maintain effective and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Deliver customer‑service oriented attitude and high quality service.
• Adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
• Handle competing priorities and manage change.

• High school diploma and 4 years of equivalent experience in an Accounting/Finance role.
• Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, formulas) preferred.
• ERP experience required (SAP / FSCM preferred).
• More than 1 year of work experience in Accounts Receivable (A/R) or a related field desired.
• Knowledge of credit memos, offset balances, repaid deductions, check requests, and brewer returns highly preferred.
• Food & Beverage industry experience preferred; experience in other CPG or retail (Target, 7‑11, Staples) also considered.

• Salary Range: $21.92/hr – $29.00/hr placement may vary based on experience and skills.
