Summary/Objective

Reporting to a Partner and the Director of Wealth Management, the Wealth Advisor is responsible for managing a group book of client relationships, delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services. This role is ideal for a credentialed professional (CFP® or CPA) with a solid foundation in financial planning who is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships, contribute to business development, and mentor junior team members.

  • Manage and serve as the primary advisor for an assigned book of client households, delivering comprehensive financial planning and ongoing wealth management strategies aligned with clients' goals and objectives
  • Conduct client reviews, analyze financial data, and develop recommendations related to investment management, retirement planning, tax efficiency, risk management, and estate planning
  • Build and strengthen client relationships by collaborating with clients' professional advisors, identifying opportunities for additional planning services, and supporting business development and referral initiatives
  • Ensure all client recommendations, communications, and documentation adhere to fiduciary obligations, regulatory requirements, and firm policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of the advisory team by mentoring Associate Wealth Advisors, sharing technical expertise, and staying current on industry trends, market conditions, and planning strategies
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Serve as primary advisor for an assigned book of client households, managing the full relationship lifecycle
  • Develop, present, and implement comprehensive financial plans covering retirement, investment, tax, risk management, and estate planning strategies
  • Conduct regular client review meetings to assess progress toward financial goals and adjust plans as needed
  • Analyze client financial data and provide recommendations on asset allocation, tax efficiency, and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with clients’ professionals (CPA, Estate Attorney, etc.) to deliver coordinated, holistic advice
  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand services (referrals, additional assets, family members)
  • Ensure all client interactions and recommendations comply with fiduciary standards and firm/regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Associate Wealth Advisors
  • Stay current on tax law changes, market conditions, and planning strategies relevant to client portfolios
  • Participate in business development activities, including client seminars, referral partner relationships, and community engagement
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, recommendations, and plan updates

Education & Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field required
  • CFP® certification or active CPA license required
  • Minimum 5 years of client facing experience in financial planning or wealth management
  • Series 65 (or 66) license
  • Demonstrated knowledge of investment management, tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning concepts
  • Knowledge of tax concepts and business consulting services, combined with strong client relationship skills and the ability to deliver holistic support and guidance to a diverse client base.
  • Strong proficiency in financial planning software (eMoney, Money Guide Pro ) and portfolio management tools
