Job Summary

SHIFT:
Monday
- Friday, either 6:00am - 2:30pm, 6:30-3:00pm, or 7:30am - 4:00pm, with call back requirements in support of PACU.

On call rotating nights, weekends and holidays.

As a Procedural Registered Nurse, you will work as a licensed professional and use the nursing practice model to oversee patient care by the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will involve assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses for health issues, and developing personalized care plans. You will also assess patient responses regularly. Your contributions will help patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the healthcare system.

This will prevent complications and delays. Delegating tasks to other staff will be based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.

  • As a Procedural Registered Nurse, your main focus is to use careful clinical judgement. You'll assess patients and prioritize their needs. You'll also create and adjust care plans for better results.
  • You will assess your nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness. This may involve tracking indicators, making changes based on research, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • You'll help teach patients and staff. Education will be integrated into care at all levels.
  • In systems thinking, you will use strategies and resources to solve problems for patients, families, and staff.
  • Finally, your professionalism enhances nursing practice and work environment. Contribute to decision-making, recognize others' contributions meaningfully.

Qualifications
  • Accredited program or (2) two years minimum, required for this position.
  • A major focus or specialization in Nursing.
  • 2 years Day Surgery RN experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
