X-Ray Technologist Position Summary
North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Denton, Texas
. This is a full-time opportunity in a busy outpatient imaging center where you'll perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while providing exceptional patient care. This position also offers an excellent opportunity to cross-train into CT or MRI for motivated candidates looking to expand their skills.
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends or on-call
- Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable)
- ARRT (R) certification
- Current CPR certification (preferred)
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols.
- Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history.
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and image quality.
- Educate patients about their exam and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems.
- Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure imaging equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency.
- Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities become available.
- Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures and anatomy
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy outpatient environment
- Interest in expanding skills through cross-training is encouraged
