Physician Assistant (PA) – Urgent Care – Baylor Scott & White Health, Frisco
We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated Physician Assistant with a passion for urgent care to join our dynamic Urgent Care Team in Frisco, Texas.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the physical and mental condition of patients by performing comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories.
- Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.
- Prescribe, recommend, or employ medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments, and perform indicated procedures in accordance with approved policies, with attention to efficacy, safety, and cost.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans, evaluate patient response, and assess effectiveness of care.
- Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
- Maintain records detailing patient treatment plans and outcomes; initiate timely consultation and referral when needed.
- Provide consultation-level services for conditions related to the PA’s specialty and training.
- Perform invasive procedures as delegated by supervising physician.
- May be required to perform patient‑care duties beyond regular schedule based on department coverage needs.
- Knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and diseases.

- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to develop treatment plans and counsel patients.
- Knowledge of laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Current Texas PA license.
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Current NCCPA certification.

Qualifications- Graduated from an accredited program.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience.
- Texas Physician Assistant license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification.
