Position: Evening Full-Time MRI Technologist

MRI Technologist Position Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused MRI Technologist to join our team in Frisco, Texas. This is a full-time opportunity in a fast-paced outpatient imaging center where you'll perform high-quality MRI examinations while providing exceptional patient care and service. This position also offers the opportunity to train into our remote MRI scanning program for qualified technologists interested in expanding their skills.

Schedule
  • Full-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • 3:00 PM–9:00 PM
  • No weekends or on-call
Requirements
  • Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) certification and ARRT (MR) and/or ARMRIT certification
  • Current CPR certification (preferred)
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations according to established protocols.
  • Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history.
  • Prepare and position patients while ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
  • Educate patients about their procedure and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience.
  • Administer contrast media when appropriate and monitor for any adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems.
  • Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure MRI equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to MRI safety guidelines, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency.
  • Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned.

  • Strong knowledge of MRI anatomy, pathology, and imaging protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy outpatient environment
