Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join their dedicated team. The technician will assist in the compounding of sterile IV preparations, assemble patient supplies and equipment, and perform other pharmacy-related tasks under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, package, and distribute medications as prescribed by physicians following established policies and procedures.Compound and dispense IV sterile products using aseptic technique in accordance with USP 797 & 800 guidelines.Ensure the anteroom, clean room, and compounding area meet regulatory cleaning and sanitation standards.Maintain pharmacy inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.Accurately follow dispensing, processing, and shipping protocols for patient orders.Assist with patient order scheduling, insurance verification, and preparation of work orders.Maintain legally required records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Follow pharmacy inventory control procedures and assist with quality control activities.Interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification from PTCB (PTCB) or NHA (ExCPT).Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration required.Sterile IV compounding experience required.Home infusion experience preferred, but not required.Experience with CPR+ or Care Tend software is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams).About The Company: Our client is a leading provider of home infusion and specialty pharmacy services, committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.
