This is an outstanding opportunity for a passionate pastry professional to help create exceptional dessert experiences across signature restaurants, luxury banquets, golf events, VIP amenities, and resort-wide culinary programming while developing alongside an award-winning pastry team.

Assistant Pastry Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years of pastry experience within a luxury hotel, resort, or fine dining environment
  • Diploma from an accredited pastry or culinary program
  • Certified Food Protection Manager Certification
  • Strong knowledge of classical and contemporary pastry techniques
  • Experience supporting high-volume banquet and a la carte pastry production
  • Ability to lead, coach, and mentor pastry team members
  • Knowledge of gluten-free, allergy-conscious, and specialty dessert production
  • Strong organizational and production planning skills
  • Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-driven business
Assistant Pastry Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills
  • Luxury hotel or Forbes/Five-Star resort pastry experience
  • Experience supporting large banquet operations and high-profile events
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Experience creating seasonal dessert menus and luxury amenities
  • Knowledge of food cost controls, inventory, scheduling, and production management
  • Collaborative leadership style with strong cross-functional communication
  • Passion for innovation while maintaining classical pastry fundamentals
  • Stable career progression with strong tenure
