  • You understand that the experience starts long before the first guest arrives. As a Banquet Setup Attendant, you’ll play an important role in creating memorable events by transforming meeting and banquet spaces into beautiful, welcoming environments. From setting tables and staging to maintaining clean, organized spaces throughout an event, your attention to detail and teamwork help bring every event to life.
  • You’ll work closely with the Banquet Management and Sales & Catering teams to ensure each event is set according to the guest’s expectations and the event specifications. Your positive attitude, willingness to help, and commitment to exceptional service will make a lasting impact on both our guests and your fellow Curators.

Education and Experience

  • Previous hospitality, banquet, event setup, housekeeping, or related experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), diagrams, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests.
  • Ability to listen to, understand, and appropriately respond to guest and team member concerns.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized work areas.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative, reliability, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position that requires working throughout the hotel, including banquet rooms, pre-function areas, service corridors, and storage areas. The role involves frequent movement and working around furniture, equipment, carts, and other banquet supplies.

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Regularly push and pull carts and banquet equipment weighing up to 250 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach at shoulder level and below the waist, and occasionally reach above the head.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for handling, operating, and moving equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks, including vacuuming and cleaning walls, windows, mirrors, and other meeting spaces.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing event needs.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with company grooming and uniform standards.
  • Must promptly report safety hazards, guest service concerns, or security issues to management.
