Job Description:
Game Square is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead and execute all aspects of the HR function. This is a highly hands-on role reporting directly to the COO and partnering closely with leaders across the business. The Director of HR will be responsible for building scalable people processes, supporting leaders and employees, and ensuring strong execution across talent, performance, compliance, and culture.
This role is ideal for an HR leader who enjoys both strategy and rolling up their sleeves, and who thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities- Own day-to-day HR operations across the company, serving as a trusted partner to leadership and employees
- Build, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, programs, and processes that support a growing organization
- Partner with leaders to define hiring needs, role requirements, and interview processes;
Strengthen employer branding and candidate experience - Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including coaching, conflict resolution, and issue management
- Own performance management processes, including goal-setting, reviews, feedback, and development planning
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, including benchmarking, annual reviews, and administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Identify development needs and create programs to support leadership growth, career progression, and skills development
- Partner with managers to coach and develop high-potential talent
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility
- Experience building and executing HR programs in a growth-stage, multi-entity, or fast-paced environment
- Strong working knowledge of all core HR disciplines, including recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance
- Proven ability to operate hands-on while thinking strategically
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and communication skills
- Experience partnering closely with senior leaders and executives
- Bachelor’s degree required; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) a plus
- Spanish bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
