Job Overview:
Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Craft Recruiter to join our Primoris Heavy Civil team in The Woodlands, TX. This role will be responsible for sourcing, screening, hiring skilled craft workers and salaried staff positions to support our heavy civil construction projects.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract top craft talent, including pipe layers, heavy equipment operators, concrete finishers, carpenters, foremen, technicians, and other skilled trades.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media, industry events, community outreach, and professional networks.
  • Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop recruiting strategies.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from initial contact to offer extension and onboarding support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and project teams to understand staffing needs and project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Attend career fairs and industry events to represent Primoris Services Corporation and promote career opportunities.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, labor market conditions, and best practices in craft recruitment.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Support additional Human Resources and Talent Acquisition initiatives as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in craft recruitment, preferably within the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and hiring skilled trades professionals.
  • Strong understanding of construction trades and the specific skills required for various craft positions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruiting software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or GED required;
    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionaly to job sites and recruiting events.

Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Heavy Civil is comprised of six operating units that include North Louisiana Operations, South Louisiana Operations, Texas Operations, HMA Paving Operations, Concrete Paving Operations, and the Infrastructure Rehabilitation Unit.
