T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and nationwide 5G network. Product Owners located in Frisco, TX will develop a deep understanding of customer experience, especially at a tactical and transaction level.
Position duties and responsibilities- Build and maintain Agile (Scrum / Sprint) team backlog, with input from customer, Product Manager, System Architect/Engineering and other stakeholders (team backlog consists mostly of user stories, and may include defects and enablers).
- Collaborate with Agile team and stakeholders to write user stories and requirements that include acceptance criteria and tests for 1-2 Agile/Scrum teams.
- Review and prioritize the Agile Team backlog for Iteration (Sprint) Planning, coordinating dependencies with other Product Owners.
- Review and assess enabler work and collaborate with System and Solution Architect/Engineering to sequence technical infrastructures, determining when and where enabler work is included in the backlog.
- Serve as primary resource to the Technical (Dev) team and Customer team for user story details, and be highly available during iterations to answer questions and provide clarity.
- Manage and maintain an efficient flow of just-in-time story elaboration activities, typically maintaining two iterations worth of ready-to-work user stories in the backlog.
- Participate in team demos with primary responsibility for reviewing and accepting completed user stories (PO is the sole approver of done). Validate that stories meet acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done.
- Participate in Iteration Retrospective and support the Agile Release Train's Inspect and Adapt workshop.
- Oversee the PI system demo as part of the I&A workshop, working with Product Management to ensure representation of user stories within the PO scope.
- Coordinate user story, functional, and technical dependencies with other Product Owners during each iteration and Program Increment (often in weekly PO/ART sync meetings).
- Work across Agile teams to define and implement improvement stories that increase velocity and quality of the program.
- Takes ownership of user story quality and performance in production environment.
- Develop positive working relationships with Customer groups or Customer Representatives and with technical and non-technical teams (sales, marketing, legal, finance, etc.), including outside partners.
- Develop professional and technical knowledge through educational activities and professional networks; participate in the Product Owner/Manager Community of Practice (COP).
Experience and education requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, and 1 year of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
Skills requirements: Requires experience in JIRA, Trello, Confluence, and MS Project for Agile backlog management, sprint tracking, planning, and milestones.
Experience with enterprise systems (Active Directory/LDAP, SSO/OAuth, ITIL ITSM in Service Now), Service Now ITSM development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, JSON/XML), REST/SOAP APIs, Postman, and integration tools (Mule Soft, Dell Boomi).
Designing Service Now ITSM solutions using Visio and Lucid Chart;
Service Now Performance Analytics for CMDB health dashboards; data visualization with Power BI/Tableau; and data modeling with Microsoft Excel.

Work hours:
