Principal Architect, Systems located in Frisco, TX will design and implement robust and scalable system architectures that align with T-Mobile's strategic objectives.
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* ensure system coherence and integrate cutting-edge solutions to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery;
* collaborate with various stakeholders to lead the adoption of new technologies and methodologies;
* drive innovation across the organization through expert knowledge and leadership in system architecture;
* maintain T-Mobile's leadership in the telecommunications industry by leveraging advanced architectural practices;
* evaluate current technological trends and integrate them into strategic planning for system development; and
* participate in other duties or projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Skill requirements:
* Experience (1) Designing and developing cloud architecture and modernization frameworks across AWS and Azure, fully aligned with organizational strategy and long-term goals.
* Experience (2) Leading and executing enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure initiatives leveraging Kubernetes platform engineering using EKS, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and Network Services.
* Experience (3) Implementing global IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and Python to streamline deployments and enhance operational efficiency.
* Experience (4) Building and executing strategies for cloud governance, financial optimization, and operational excellence to strengthen organizational cloud maturity.
* Experience (5) Providing Cloud leadership, people development, and strategic direction to advance organizational objectives.
* Experience (6) Leading initiatives in observability and site reliability engineering using Prometheus, Grafana, and Cloud Watch to improve cloud operations and system resilience.
Experience and education requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related, and 7 years of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related, and 9 years of relevant work experience.
Telecommuting is permitted, but applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3-4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.

Work hours:
40 hours/week. Wage Range: $154,856 to $175,000/year.
Candidate's pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
