T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr Engineers, Data is located in Frisco, TX and will lead the development efforts for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Independently develop a full software stack.
• Contributed to designs to implement new insights to improve upon existing systems.
• Build data persistence solutions for software products, with the chance to work with, learn multiple data stores, and cloud platforms such as AWS, AZURE and Snowflake.
• Public (AWS, Azure, GCP) analysis of actuals to budget /forecast, analyze key areas of waste and optimization, utilization rates, etc.
• Extract and analyze large scale data within cloud billing and usage, to support management and financial partners in decision making.
• Identification, implementation, and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Develop support documentation for acceptance of systems changes into production.
• Participate in code reviews and walkthroughs of technical specifications with other members of the technical team.

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer and Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of relevant work experience in any occupation in which the required experience is gained.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer and Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years of relevant work experience in any occupation in which the required experience is gained.

Skills requirements:
Requires experience in each of the following skills:

1. Building real-time and large-scale data solutions using Python, and Snowflake features like Snowpipe, and Cloning to enable robust data transformation pipelines, resulting in a 25% improvement in pipeline efficiency;
2. Migrating and optimizing data infrastructure by transforming large datasets from traditional RDBMS (Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle) to Snowflake and Databricks on Azure;
3. Building efficient ETL and data transformation workflows to automate reporting pipelines, boosting pipeline throughput and reducing manual intervention using Snowflake, Azure, Python and Control-M tools;
4. Leveraging cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Snowflake to architect high performance, cloud-native data systems with capabilities like Time Travel, Fail-safe, and zero-copy cloning, ensuring compliance, data recovery, and system reliability;
5. Collaborating with global teams across offshore and onshore environments for data cleaning, analysis, and visualization, while also conducting in-depth root cause analysis to identify business opportunities and enhance data-driven decision-making by creating audit checks using Snowflake and Python to ensure the issues are caught at the initial phase; and 6. Applying Dev Ops and scheduling tools:
Control-M, Git Hub, UC4, and Crontab for CI/CD pipeline automation, workload orchestration, and performance monitoring in multi-cloud data engineering environments.

Work hours:

40 hours/week. Salary $156,998 to $165,000 per year.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
