Role Summary
This role will be responsible for designing and implementing security controls to protect data, applications, and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. The Security Engineer will collaborate cross‑functionally to provide technical security expertise, develop threat simulation methodologies to evaluate risks and predict attack outcomes, and troubleshoot security‑related issues to enhance protection. The successful candidate will be able to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, stay current with emerging security technologies and best practices, and maintain thorough documentation of security processes, assessments, and findings to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Location:
Frisco, TX. On‑site as needed. Preferred candidates are within commuting distance. No relocation assistance offered.
- Assess endpoint protection requirements for enterprise (devices, applications, etc.)
- Review and assess utilization of current endpoint security implementation.
- Conduct thorough analysis of technical and integration requirements.
- Develop solutions and solutions architecture for Crowdstrike, Microsoft, and Zscaler security products.
- Provide coordination and administration with Systems Engineering, Information Security and GRC teams for the delivery of recommended solutions.
- Provide product implementation/operation support and engage in hands‑on implementation of EDR, DLP, ZTNA, and SWG.
- Develop policies and procedures for monitoring, assessment, detection, incident response and remediation of endpoint security devices.
- Provide expertise in information governance and data protection.
- 5+ recent years of demonstrated technical proficiency in related cyber field.
- Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Thorough understanding of security tools/products and how they fit within an organization to meet business requirements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux/Unix system administration and security controls.
- Strong understanding of IT and cyber‑security technologies.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL).
- Passionate about the cybersecurity field and eager to challenge the status quo to raise the bar for McAfee’s Info Sec security team.
