Amdocs Developer.
Location:Frisco, TX - Onsite/Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced
Amdocs Developer with strong Dev Ops skills
to support the development, deployment, integration, and production operations of Amdocs-based telecom applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
Amdocs BSS/OSS platforms
, application development and troubleshooting, along with strong expertise in
CI/CD, Linux, Shell scripting, Git, containers, and Kubernetes
.
The candidate will work closely with development, Dev Ops, infrastructure, QA, and production support teams to deliver reliable and scalable telecom solutions.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, configure, and support applications within the
Amdocs BSS/OSS ecosystem
. - Develop and enhance Amdocs components based on business and technical requirements.
- Support integration between Amdocs applications and upstream/downstream telecom systems.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, deployment, and production issues.
- Analyze application logs, system logs, API failures, and transaction flows to identify root causes.
- Develop and maintain
Shell scripts
for application deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and operational automation. - Build and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
for automated build, testing, deployment, and release processes. - Manage source code, branching, merging, tagging, and release activities using
Git
. - Deploy and support applications across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.
- Work with
Docker and Kubernetes
for containerized application deployment and troubleshooting. - Perform Kubernetes troubleshooting involving pods, deployments, services, Config Maps, Secrets, resource utilization, and application logs.
- Support automated deployments and implement appropriate rollback and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, database, QA, and operations teams during releases and production incidents.
- Participate in production support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and performance troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, runbooks, and operational support documentation.
- Strong hands-on experience in
Amdocs development and application support
. - Good understanding of
Amdocs BSS/OSS architecture
and telecom business processes. - Experience with Amdocs application development, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of
Linux/Unix
environments. - Hands-on experience with
Shell scripting
. - Experience with
CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops, or equivalent
. - Strong experience with
Git and source-code management practices
. - Hands-on experience with
Docker and Kubernetes
. - Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes deployments, pods, services, logs, configuration, and application failures.
- Understanding of
REST APIs, web services, and system integrations
. - Working knowledge of
SQL and relational databases
. - Experience with application monitoring and log-analysis tools such as
Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or similar tools
. - Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Good understanding of
Agile/Scrum and SDLC processes
. - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working in the
Telecom domain
. - Experience with telecom
BSS, OSS, CRM, Order Management, Billing, Provisioning, or Charging systems
. - Experience supporting high-volume, business-critical Amdocs applications.
- Knowledge of
Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
. - Exposure to cloud platforms such as
Azure, AWS, or GCP
. - Experience with automated deployment, release management, monitoring, and production support.
