- Lead the planning, execution, and operationalization of Autonomous Network initiatives for a Tier-1 CSP with large-scale, multi-domain and multi-vendor network environments.
- Partner with the CSP CTO organization, Network Operations, Engineering, OSS/BSS, Cloud, Data/AI, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Procurement, Finance, and ecosystem partners to establish and execute the autonomous-network roadmap.
- Manage the transition from human-assisted automation to intent-driven, predictive and closed-loop operations while protecting service availability, customer experience, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Tier-1 CSP Autonomous Network (AN) transformation programs across RAN, Core, Transport, Cloud, Edge, OSS, and Service domains.
- Define and execute the TM Forum AN Level 3/4 roadmap, governance framework, milestones, KPIs, budgets, risks, and benefits realization.
- Manage multi-vendor ecosystems including OEMs, system integrators, hyperscalers, and software partners.
- Drive executive reporting, stakeholder alignment, and program governance.
- Lead AN maturity assessments and develop domain-specific autonomy roadmaps.
- Prioritize high-value use cases based on customer impact, operational efficiency, service quality, and business value.
- Drive progression from pilots and proofs-of-concept to large-scale production deployment and adoption.
- Establish measurable AN maturity and operational outcome targets.
- Drive delivery of AI-powered use cases including fault management, self-healing, service assurance, change automation, network optimization, and predictive operations.
- Coordinate cross-domain closed-loop automation spanning RAN, Core, Transport, Cloud, and Service Operations.
- Ensure implementation of guardrails, validation, automated verification, rollback, and production readiness processes.
- Promote reusable automation platforms and standardized operating models across network domains.
- Partner with Operations teams to transform processes, runbooks, and operating models for autonomous operations.
- Oversee AIOps, AI Agents, Digital Twins, Intent-Based Networking, and Closed-Loop Automation initiatives.
- Ensure responsible AI, security, compliance, explainability, observability, and governance requirements are met.
- Measure automation effectiveness through business and operational outcomes.
- Serve as the primary interface for CSP executives, CTO organizations, operations leaders, and transformation sponsors.
- Lead steering committees, roadmap reviews, and executive workshops.
- Communicate program status, autonomy maturity, business outcomes, investment needs, and strategic recommendations.
- Align initiatives with TM Forum, ETSI, GSMA, and industry best practices
- Telecom Networks:
Strong understanding of 5G Core/EPC/IMS, RAN/Open RAN, Transport/IP-MPLS, Cloud/Edge, and network/service operations. - OSS & Network Operations:
Experience with Service Assurance, FCAPS, Inventory Management, Service Orchestration, Policy Management, Observability, Incident/Problem/Change Management, and SLA-driven operations. - Autonomous Networks:
Knowledge of TM Forum Autonomous Networks Framework, AN Level Assessments, Intent-Based Operations, Closed-Loop Automation, Self-Healing Networks, Digital Twins, and Zero-Touch Operations (ZTO). - AI & Automation:
Familiarity with AIOps, Predictive Analytics, AI Agents, Machine Learning fundamentals, MLOps, AI Governance, and Responsible AI. - Program & Delivery Management:
Experience with Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Dev Sec Ops , Program Governance, Executive Stakeholder Management, Financial Management, and Vendor Governance.
Preferred Certifications
- PMP or PgMP.
- TM Forum Autonomous Networks certification is highly desirable.
- SAFe, ITIL, Scrum and relevant cloud certifications are preferred.
