About the Company

This rapidly growing global consultancy, which recently listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange, is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join as their first US counsel in their Dallas, TX office. With a presence across the UK, US, Europe, and South Africa, the company was founded in 2009 by two ex-Accenture consultants and a highly respected former A&O partner.

They are looking to expand and need a legal professional to help support their growth in the US market.

About the Role

This pivotal role will report directly to the General Counsel and play an instrumental part in the company’s expansion in the US. You will work closely with US Partners, structuring client agreements, and supporting the negotiation process to ensure smooth, commercially viable agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice with a strong focus on commercial contracting.
• Work alongside business stakeholders to structure agreements, ensuring legal does not slow down commercial agreements.
• Offer a sound, commercial approach to addressing client concerns while balancing the company’s risk parameters.
• Use each commercial negotiation as an opportunity to enhance the company’s reputation by demonstrating quality and pragmatism.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, legal teams, and procurement stakeholders.
• Collaborate with a high-caliber legal team, with frequent opportunities to travel to the London office to integrate with the team and learn the company’s ways of working.

Who are you?

• Excellent private practice training from a top-tier law firm, with proven in-house experience - either through a secondment or a permanent role.
• Strong technical expertise in commercial contracting.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to become a trusted point of contact for the business.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset to navigate complex legal issues.
• Ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and business teams.
• A sociable, team-oriented individual with a high EQ who thrives in a lean, collaborative environment
