Director, Strategic Procurement & Integration

Stelvio are working with a client seeking a Director of Strategic Procurement & Integration to lead the development and execution of their enterprise-wide procurement strategy.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for bringing procurement functions, processes, systems, and supplier relationships together under a consistent and scalable framework. You’ll work closely with executive leadership and teams across the wider business, helping improve procurement performance, manage supplier risk, deliver cost efficiencies, and support continued organizational growth.

The role combines strategic direction with hands‑on transformation leadership and will suit someone who has successfully built, integrated, and developed procurement capabilities within a complex organization.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Define and execute an enterprise procurement strategy aligned with wider business, growth, and financial objectives.
  • Establish procurement governance, policies, standards, and performance frameworks across multiple business areas.
  • Act as a strategic procurement advisor to executive leadership, providing insight into supplier markets, risk, cost optimization, and sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead procurement transformation initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, and long‑term value creation.
  • Establish and track KPIs covering procurement effectiveness, supplier performance, and realized savings.
  • Lead the integration of procurement functions following acquisitions, organizational changes, and wider business transformation.
  • Standardize procurement processes, systems, controls, and policies across the organization.
  • Assess procurement maturity and develop roadmaps to improve capability and consistency.
  • Lead change management initiatives to support stakeholder engagement and adoption.
  • Develop enterprise sourcing strategies across critical categories and high‑value spend.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, including strategic supplier agreements and master service agreements.
  • Develop senior‑level relationships with key suppliers to strengthen performance, collaboration, and long‑term value.
  • Establish supplier segmentation and performance management approaches.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier and supply chain risks through assessment and contingency planning.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with strategic suppliers and key internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver cost‑reduction and value‑creation initiatives through strategic sourcing, demand management, and supplier consolidation.
  • Partner with Finance and business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and spend management.
  • Use data, analytics, and market intelligence to identify savings and procurement improvement opportunities.
  • Support procurement technology initiatives, including ERP optimization, e‑procurement, contract lifecycle management, and spend analytics.
  • Drive process automation and standardization to improve efficiency and visibility across enterprise spend.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Operations, IT, HR, and other business functions.
  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing procurement team, including capability development and succession planning.
Qualifications

You should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience across procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or commercial management, including leadership responsibility.
  • Experience leading procurement transformation, integration, or change initiatives within a multi‑business or global organization.
  • A track record of developing enterprise procurement strategies that have delivered measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Extensive experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing strategic supplier relationships.
  • Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating supplier agreements in partnership with Legal, including MSAs, SOWs, purchase agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and amendments.
