Your responsibilities
  • Support and execute installation and commissioning of equipment, planned and unplanned maintenance, servicing, repairs, upgrades, and modernization of equipment on customer sites or in-house workshops as required.
  • Identify customer needs and service opportunities; communicate findings to Service Sales and Service Branch teams.
  • Provide high-quality workmanship, professional communication, and foster trusting relationships with customers to support retention.
  • Act as the face of GEA to customers and adhere to high ethical standards and applicable laws and governance.
  • Troubleshoot GEA equipment and other manufacturers’ equipment; perform maintenance and repairs per SOPs and manuals.
  • Prepare estimates for repairs, maintenance, installation, and commissioning; coordinate work with other departments to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Maintain records of repairs and maintenance for future service needs; ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate work schedules with other departments and shops to minimize customer inconvenience; provide technical direction to service personnel.
  • Read gauges and instruments, adjust mechanisms (valves, controls, pumps) to control fluid levels and distribution; operate equipment in compliance with legal guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Certificate or Diploma or relevant qualification as an Artisan in a technical field; minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry as a Field Service Engineer or similar role.
  • Ability to read and understand basic schematics/diagrams; knowledge of Health and Safety regulations; health and safety training is preferred.
  • Profound experience in mechanical, electrical (AC/DC), or millwright trades.
  • Strong problem solving, customer service, and quality management skills; ability to manage budgets and contribute to cost savings.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, professionalism, adaptability, dependability, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with internal teams and external customers, including key customers and service providers.
Compensation and Benefits

The typical base pay range at start of employment is expected to be between $26 - $40 per hour. GEA has different base pay ranges for different locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation; final offers depend on skills, experience, location, and other factors. Eligible for additional rewards.
