Position: Senior Vice-President, Operations New Frisco, TX

This is a critical Senior Leadership Team role  will be responsible for managing the execution, deployment, and ongoing operational performance of Boingo’s in-building network infrastructure solutions across premier venues, with primary focus on the U.S. and Canada. This includes the teams and partners that design, cost, build, activate, operate, and maintain our DAS, Small Cell, and other in-building wireless networks.

Success in this role requires a highly experienced, meticulous, and dynamic leader who can drive consistent field execution while partnering effectively with internal stakeholders and external venue, carrier, and integration partners. This position is customer-facing and requires the ability to represent Boingo credibly in executive-level discussions and presentations.

Responsibilities
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team, while leading and overseeing large-scale wireless infrastructure primarily in high volume indoor builds, deployments, activations, and ongoing service delivery to meet evolving business demands.
  • Direct large national and multi-site DAS and Small Cell deployments with multiple installation and integration partners, carriers, and employees.
  • Ensure that on-site implementation and operations work is in accordance with Venue and Carrier Agreements, Boingo Project Plans, US wireless industry standards, and local, state, national rules and regulations. Successfully manage and direct project completion to meet corporate revenue goals.
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge, including carriers, OEMs, and ecosystem partners, to support new customer acquisition, project expansion, and long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure organizational structure and talent capabilities align with business scale, execution needs, and future growth.
  • Ensure operational organizations are structured, staffed, and prepared to execute against current and future project requirements.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery of operational inputs that support pricing, proposals, and deal execution.
  • Continuously assess and adapt operational processes to improve speed, scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Represent the company in customer-facing engagements and executive meetings as needed.
  • Serve as a senior operational voice in customer discussions, bringing credibility, clarity, and solution-oriented thinking to complex engagements.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in wireless infrastructure construction, engineering, and project and program management (telecom network projects experience required), with experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects across contractors and multiple employee groups.
  • Experience managing capital projects in the $20m-$200m range in complex construction environments.
  • Proven ability to schedule and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Technical aptitude with a working understanding of telecommunications network fundamentals
  • Experience supporting and maintaining live networks, including participation in 24/7/365 operations for service restoration, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and analyze data to make logical decisions and implement solutions.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex technical and operational topics to senior and executive-level management, customers, and partners.
  • 50% travel required (customer, venue site visits and executive customer engagements).
  • Ability to promote coaching, feedback, and development practices that strengthen leadership effectiveness and succession readiness.
