The Assistant Community Manager plays a critical role supporting the Community Manager in daily operations, leasing activities, financial processes, and resident experience of the community. This position is ideal for a service-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities with resident interaction.
Responsibilities- Collection of rent payments and management of customer service
- Address concerns of current and prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner
- Tours and leases apartments as necessary
- Lead communication with delinquent residents, including lease termination and legal action if necessary
- Assist in managing the community’s budget by making sound fiscal decisions to increase the net operating income
- Help maintain the accuracy of resident ledgers and files
- Inspect apartments during move‑in and move‑outs; walk apartments and the community as needed
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Clear understanding of business concepts, processes and strategic thinking principles
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of multifamily operations including people management, financial reporting, problem‑solving, sales, maintenance and resident relations
- Must be able to access all apartment homes and parts of the community to show homes to potential residents and inspect all areas of community
- Ability to visually inspect apartment homes, grounds, and other aspects of the community to determine that standards are met
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties and responsibilities
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to attend meetings at various sites
- 1-3 years of experience in Property Management
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Experience in MS Office Word/Excel and basic computer technology skills;
One Site experience preferred - Valid driver’s license
