Operations Manager, Retail & Store Manager
Position Summary
As a Realty Project Coach, you will join our Realty Execution team for Walmart US. You will take ownership in delivering store and club remodels, new stores and clubs, and special projects across the US. Your responsibility will be to ensure projects are done on time, within budget, and meet our top‑notch quality standards. In this role you will partner with store team leads to supervise hourly team members, handle escalations, and collaborate with store leadership to keep everything on track.
You will also have the opportunity to travel to projects across the US.
- Influencing others by motivating the team to meet timelines and deliverables.
- Encouraging collaboration and teamwork among associates.
- Resolving store leadership, supplier, and associate concerns to reinforce teamwork.
- Owning the execution of projects in assigned stores and communicating plans, changes, and obstacles to key stakeholders.
- Minimizing impact on store operations during project execution.
- Providing supervision, development opportunities, and career guidance for team members, including listening, evaluating talent, training, mentoring, recognizing achievements, and promoting diversity awareness.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and 1 year of experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area, OR 3 years of experience in those areas.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction remodels, project management, space management and/or store design.
- Experience leading people, projects or initiatives and leading cross‑functional teams.
- Reliable transportation.
- Master’s degree in Business or a related field.
- 1 year’s experience leading cross‑functional teams.
- Project Management Institute – Management Professional Certification.
Shift: Primarily working overnights (10–12 hour night shifts). Travel:
Frequent travel up to 1,000 miles from home; expect to be away from home 80% of the time, or for 17–21 days at a time. Mileage is reimbursed and overnight stays are paid for RPC roles. The annual salary range is $60,000–$110,000. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
