Workplace Construction Strategy Lead
The Workplace Construction Strategy Lead role serves as the enterprise subject matter expert for commercial construction and is responsible for overseeing all construction-related activities across our global portfolio. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and a passion for creating world‑class workplace environments that keep our associates at the center of every decision.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Oversight: serving as the primary liaison between the Design and Construction team and internal customers.
- Develop a deep understanding of business needs to prioritize projects, resources, and spend across the portfolio.
- Partner with Design, Facilities, Technology, Finance, and senior leadership to align construction programs with enterprise priorities.
- Capital Planning & Financial Management: leading capital planning, project budget approvals, value engineering, and cost avoidance initiatives.
- Review and approve budgets for project scope and design, including work by architects, engineers, and specialty consultants.
- Project Delivery & Governance: develop and communicate project requirements including scope, cost estimates, schedules, and resource needs.
- Oversee preparation of RFPs, process specifications, progress reports, and bidding documents.
- Create and enforce procedures and templates that strengthen governance, cost management, scheduling, and risk avoidance.
- Vendor Performance, ESG & Continuous Improvement: establish frameworks for vendor performance, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize costs, accelerate timelines, and elevate program performance.
- University (Degree) Preferred.
- 8 Years Required; 10 Years Preferred.

Required Qualifications- 8+ years of progressive commercial construction experience, with expertise in managing large‑scale, complex projects across multiple geographies.

- University degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- An advanced degree or professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or CCM.
- Prior experience in a Fortune 500 or Fortune 100 corporate real estate environment.
- A strong technical understanding of architectural and engineering construction drawings and processes.
- Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams and vendor relationships in a matrixed organization.
- Strong financial acumen, hands‑on capital planning experience, and proficiency in project management software and technology platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for senior executives and non‑technical stakeholders alike.
- Able to travel both domestically (50%) and internationally (limited) as needed; must be able to obtain a US Passport.

Base Pay Range: $159,000/yr - $220,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non‑annual sales incentive plans, or other non‑annual incentive plans).
