You’ll Do

The Associate Manager, Brand PR helps shape how KDP brands show up in culture. Sitting within Integrated Social & Communications (Connected Media), this role brings brand stories to life through earned media and timely cultural moments.

You’ll partner closely with brand teams, agencies, and cross‑functional collaborators to develop and execute PR programs that spark conversation, drive relevance, and earn media and social attention.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Help develop and execute brand PR strategies that build awareness, relevance, and cultural connection across the KDP portfolio

  • Bring brand narratives to life through earned media and integrated communications plans
  • Act as a key day‑to‑day partner to PR agencies, guiding strategy, managing execution, and working on bold, high‑quality ideas
  • Collaborate with brand, social, paid media, and creator/influencer teams to ensure PR is integrated into larger marketing moments and launches
  • Shape messaging and story angles that feel timely, distinctive, and true to each brand’s voice
  • Set clear KPIs and measure impact, translating performance into insights that inform future work
  • Manage PR budgets and ensure smart, effective use of resources
  • Partner with Corporate Communications on reputational initiatives, issues management, and moments that require extra care or speed
  • Oversee media monitoring and reporting, including real‑time alerts, leadership updates, and campaign recaps
  • Stay tapped into what’s happening across wellness, lifestyle, celebrity, creator, and social spaces—and proactively bring fresh ideas and opportunities to the team
Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $76,400 - $110,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility:
    Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
Requirements:
  • A passion for brands, culture, and storytelling—and a point of view on what earns attention today
  • 4–7 years of experience in brand PR, marketing communications, or related roles (agency or in‑house); CPG or beverage experience a plus
  • Hands‑on experience executing earned media programs and managing PR agencies
  • Strong understanding of the social, digital, and earned media landscape—and how trends move from internet moments to mainstream coverage
  • A creative, curious mindset with the confidence to push beyond traditional PR approaches
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn insights into compelling stories and recommendations
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • A collaborative, relationship‑driven working style and comfort partnering across functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
