Responsibilities
- Lead communications for assigned ministry events and initiatives within Preston Trail’s established communications strategy.
- Partner with ministry leaders to understand their goals, audience, message, and desired next step.
- Develop and recommend promotional plans, messaging, and communication approaches appropriate to each initiative.
- Write and edit clear, compelling copy for email, web, print, social media, and other communication needs.
- Develop creative briefs and provide clear direction and feedback to designers and other creative partners.
- Ensure assigned communications reflect Preston Trail’s brand, voice, and messaging standards.
- Partner with the Creative Operations Coordinator and channel owners to move approved communication plans into production and distribution.
- Identify potential stories and communication opportunities and bring them to the Communications Director for further development.
- Collaborate with the Communications Director and Creative Team on larger initiatives as needed.

- Strong writer and editor with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Good creative instincts with the ability to recognize strong design and provide helpful creative direction.
- Able to listen well, ask good questions, and turn ministry goals into clear communication.
- Working knowledge of communications, marketing, digital channels, and audience engagement.
- Highly collaborative and able to work effectively with ministry leaders, Creative Team members, and outside partners.
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, good judgment, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Relevant communications, marketing, or ministry experience preferred.
